Manager
Job Summary:
The Product Manager
has partial profit and loss
accountability, empowered to lead and
specify strategic and tactical direction
for the products under his/her control.
The Product Manager will be required to
interact with all departments in the
organisation functioning as product
expert and leader, specifying direction
and implementing department goals.
Essential
Functions:

Profit and loss
accountability: responsible for
executing goals to increase the
profitability and revenue of the
products under management and reach
revenue and budgetary goals.

Product Planning:
product positioning, market
requirements definition, product
roadmaps, use cases and release
milestones.
-
Program Strategy:
marketing planning and support,
customer acquisition and retention
strategies, launch planning.
-
Sales and Channel
Support: business development
support, development of sales tools,
presentations and demos, event
support, customer care management,
internal training and
troubleshooting.

Market Analysis:
market research, defining the
market, technology assessment and
competitor analysis.
Additional
Responsibilities:
Quantitative
Analysis: operational metrics, market
sizing, product performance. The Product
Manager will be required to step in and
support multiple activities within the
organisation due to their
cross-functional capabilities and
product expertise. This may include
direct involvement in business
development, marketing, and development.
The Product Manager
should serve as a mentor to other
members of the organisation through
regular interaction with all teams
within the organisation in the execution
of their duties. Additionally, the
Product Manager interacts with
customers, clients and partners of the
organisation both directly in the
execution of their duties and indirectly
in the support of other teams.
The Product Manager
must exhibit flexibility, vision and
communication skills that are not
normally required of most members of the
organisation. They must cultivate
leadership without direct line of
authority, understand the market and
communicate the vision with clarity and
translate the vision into specific
deliverables.
The Product Manager
must balance product planning in the
fulfillment of their duties while taking
initiative to change direction where
necessary and as directed to meet
departmental goals. All job duties
described for this role have planning
and operational facets.

The McGregor BFA
Division centred in Johannesburg
currently has two vacancies in
Johannesburg for a Business Development
Executive who, reporting to the Sales
Manager, will be responsible for the
sales of McGregor BFA products to new
clients. The Business Development
Executives will also be responsible for
the development of relationships with
clients as well as key industry players.
